Allow me to introduce myself, I am Maggie Edwards and with my husband Mick moved from Norfolk in England to Normandy France in March 2004. Mick is a retired carpenter who now indulges his passion for fishing with his new venture of angling holidays. My hobby is cooking; I love to cook (French style). Our home is a pretty house, built in the local traditional style, on the edge of a small, quiet but thriving village, just 2.5 miles from our carp lake. The lovely old village of Bourth is awash with flowers throughout the seasons. Bourth lies on the crossroad between four cantons, three departments and three regions. It is a sound base from which to explore Northern France with its gracious Chateaux and magnificent cathedrals, there is even a chocolate factory in the area! Monets' garden attracts many visitors throughout the summer, why not visit it in spring, it is beautiful. Paris is just one and half-hours drive away or leave the car and let me take you to the station to catch the train for a day trip Our location also makes it an
ideal spot to break your journey either on the way to or from the south
of France. We are just three and half hours from Calais or two and a quarter
from Dieppe. Bourth is fifty miles south of Rouen. See
map.
